At around 4:50 a.m. on November 10, 2024, as a drone slowly took off, Sanya's first drone transportation route for emergency blood and antivenom was officially opened. This pilot project was jointly implemented by Sanya Municipal Health and Wellness Committee, Hainan Blood Center and Hainan Linghang Aviation Technology Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Linghang , LTD"). By utilizing the convenient and efficient characteristics of drones, it created Sanya's first "air life route".
On October 22nd this year, the signing ceremony of the pilot transportation agreement of urban emergency blood drones was officially held in Sanya Municipal Health and Wellness Committee, and the blood transportation in our city entered the era of low-altitude transportation. The mission was carried out by the LH-35 UAV independently developed by Linghang , LTD. The aircraft has a load of 30 kilograms, a maximum range of 30 kilometers, and a wind resistance level of 6. On this maiden voyage, LH-35 UAV carried blood transport boxes from Hainan Blood Center and sent them to Sanya Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hailuo Community Health Service Center in Jiyang District, Sanya City in turn. The whole journey was 8 kilometers and the flight time was 10 minutes. Compared with vehicle transportation efficiency, it was 50% higher.
It is worth mentioning that the flight of this route was chosen to be carried out at night, mainly because the night environment often has low visibility and insufficient light, which provides an environment closer to the real rescue scene for the drone emergency rescue test flight. Conducting test flights at night can test the flight performance and mission execution capabilities of the UAV under complex and harsh conditions, thereby ensuring its maximum effectiveness in actual rescue.
The opening of Sanya UAV transportation route for emergency blood and antivenom not only marks a breakthrough in technology application, but also marks an important step towards intelligence and modernization of transportation services, and it is also an important step for science and technology to promote the upgrading of medical services. In the future, the Sanya Municipal Health and Wellness Commission will promote the normalization of drone transportation of first aid blood and antivenom, optimize the "air life route", and gradually build a demonstration site in Sanya, providing a strong boost to ensuring the stability of medical logistics, and turning the "air life route" into a sharp weapon to protect people's lives.
